Ascii is built by Anicet Nougaret (CEO) and Kirill Makarov (CTO). We met at university in Lyon in 2022, failed our first startup together, and kept building together since.

Anicet did high performance computing at the European Space Agency, hunting black holes. Kirill worked on backend and infrastructure at Volvo. We are both self-hosting nerds and have spent years making our own infrastructure cheap to run.

Our product is box, simple cloud VMs for agents. Compute is the salary of an agent. Making it cheaper is what lets people run more agents.

Our ambition is to build the most cost-efficient cloud for billions of agents, from simple VMs today to our own hardware and datacenters.
